ABOUT ROTTERDAM:

Rotterdam is a funky port city that prides itself on its unique architecture, cool art, amazing food, and massive harbor. The city is one of the most multicultural in the Netherlands and hosts an array of festivals and concerts throughout the year. Rotterdam is easily accessible by train, bus, boat and plane. Transport in the city is also well organized with an extensive network of buses, trams, and subways.

Rotterdam has the most beautiful, crazy and special buildings in The Netherlands. The city centre is a patchwork of architectural styles: icons of the Nieuwe Bouwen school of modernist Dutch architecture stand alongside characteristic post-war reconstruction architecture from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s. The most famous buildings are the Markthal, the cube-houses and the Euromast. They are all very cool and remarkable. The Pauluskerk which is a very unique brown church, the Timmerhuis also known as the glass greenhouse and of course the Mainport hotel where the architect really captured the spirit of Rotterdam.

Boat rides, historic monuments, a unique zoo and the remarkable architecture are just some of the many excursions possibilities Rotterdam has to offer. The water taxi is a pleasant way of travelling through Rotterdam. You don’t need a destination, because the water taxi is also available for a cruise past all the highlights of Rotterdam. Another great option is Spido’s sunset cruise where you will see the beautiful skyline of Rotterdam while enjoying a cocktail.
